Cher Lloyd may find herself in the doghouse with her X Factor mentor Cheryl Cole after praising her replacement, Tulisa Contostavlos.

According to The Sun, the Swagger Jagger singer had a "subtle dig" at Chezza after telling the tabloid that she wishes she was on the show this year - so she could work with the N-Dubz star.

Speaking to the newspaper, Lloyd revealed: "Tulisa's brilliant. I kind of wish I was on now so she could teach me a few things. She's really cool."

Meanwhile, Cheryl herself also appears to be a fan of the Playing With Fire hitmaker, apparently telling the 23-year old that she has no plans to reclaim her seat on The X Factor panel.

Following reports that the Fight For This Love hitmaker would be returning for the live shows, Cole is said to have phoned Tulisa to reassure her that her role on the talent show was safe.

A source told the Daily Star: "Cheryl is a big fan of Tulisa's and the pair have formed an unlikely friendship. As soon as the rumours started circulating that she's been offered her job back and Tulisa was at risk of being axed, she called her to assure her this wasn't the case.”

Cher Lloyd and Tulisa Contostavlos were amongst the stars celebrating London's Fashion Night Out last night (Sept 8).

Both Cher and Tulisa were attending the Vogue party on the night, which saw a host of top designers holding star studded parties in both London and New York.

Cher was joined by her boyfriend, hairdresser Craig Monk, for their first public appearance. Other stars spotted on the night included Gwyneth Paltrow, who attended the Coach party, Dr Who star Karen Gillan, Daisy Lowe and popstars Alexandra Burke and Diana Vickers.

Cher Lloyd's only at the very beginning of her career and she's already played in some pretty massive venues. When she was on tour with the X Factor lot she got to play all over the country, and when Cher brought her Swagger to T4 on the Beach it was for over 45,000 people!

When we caught up with Cher, we asked her what that was like so early on in her musical life.

"Do you know what, when I was on [the X Factor] tour, because we were doing it every single day and sometimes we had two shows, I got used to it," she told us.

"I was able to cope with being on stage in front of such a big audience. But then when i did T4 i was really nervous!

"Like, i didn’t want to go on stage because I was so scared. When I do stuff outside, i know it sounds really weird, but when I do stuff outside and not in an arena, it’s more scary."

"I think its because an arenas more personal, people are closer to you. When you're outside you can see everyone like, drinking and shouting and it’s weird."

But playing to the massive crowds as part of other big shows has "definitely" made Cher think about an arena tour of her own.

"That needs to be planned," she told us. "I’d want to do all the set plan myself. All the staging and things like that, I’d wanna stage all the dances myself. I wanna do everything myself!

"I wish I could. I wish I had, like, a twin, to do all the other side of it, and I just sing and dance."

With single 'Swagger Jagger' just missing the Vodafone Big Top 40 No. 1 spot, Cher hopes to perform a new track on The X Factor.

"I plan to sing live and give them one hell of a show," The Metro report Cher saying.

Louis recently described Cher as having the potential to be a "monster" after her backstage antics on last year's shows, but he did say ex-judge Cheryl Cole would be welcomed back to perform her new music.

"I think (Cheryl) did her TV stint, it's done," Louis told Heat.

"I think Cheryl should be on The X Factor with a new single, but that's it."

Chery Lloyd's new album is due for release in November, but it's not yet known when Cheryl Cole's new album will be ready.
